The SMS India Research Initiative, an idea that emerged with the 2008 SMS India Special Conference, convened by the late C.K. Prahalad, and co-chaired by Charles Dhanaraj and MB Sarkar, is proud to announce its next events aimed at faculty and advanced doctoral students.
The workshop aims to advance the research capability of new faculty and senior doctoral candidates through interacting and receiving critical feed-back on their current research projects. While the specific deliverable is to improve the quality of such research, the broader objectives are two-fold — one, to build capacity among researchers in India and neighboring countries so that they can be empowered to publish in top-tier journals; and two, to connect Western scholars interested in emerging markets research with their South Asian colleagues.
We also invite scholars from other functions, such as finance, marketing, operations and technology management and disciplines such as economics, behavioral science, political science, psychology, and sociology who are researching on strategic issues related to institutional changes, innovation, global business, and sustainability to submit papers for consideration.
